Xpress Payment Solutions has emerged winner of the 2017 Ikeja Golf Club’s Corporate Challenge Cup. The team triumph over 19-other corporate organisations that took part in the two-day competition, which held at the club between October 13th and 14th, 2017
To emerge winner, Xpress Payment Solutions recorded a score of 202-points, beating the second placed Oceanic Health by 8-shots. Oceanic Health grossed a total of 194-stableford points.
The winning team has teenage sensation, Georgia Oboh, Muyideen Olaitan, Jimoh Ogundare and Rasaq Murtala in its team while Oceanic Health has Evelyn Oyome, Adebisi Rasheed, Mojeed Aberuagba and Bankole Paul in the their team.
Yoke Solutions came third with 136-points over two-days while Alpha Pharmacy ducks in the fourth position.
Zed Jituboh led Yoke Solution team with and Fred Appah, Bidemi Ojo and Gbenga Ayodele completing the four-man Yoke Solutions team.
Defending champion, Oak Pensions managed the fifth position after recording a total score of 183-points.
For winning the competition, Xpress Solutions will have its advert on a strategic billboard over a period of twelve months.
Speaking at the events closing ceremony, club Captain, Niyi Latinwo while congratulating winners of the competition, said he cherishes the relationship between the Club and the teams that participated the competition.
“We are grateful to our wonderful sponsors and golfers who made this tournament possible, we hope that this is only the beginning of a partnership that will continue to take the game of golf to a greater height”, he said.
In his remarks, the Club’s Competition Secretary, Jolomi Ideh said the fact that Nineteen corporate organisations took part in the competition in spite of the prevailing economic environment testified to the fact that Ikeja Golf Club Corporate Challenge Cup is popular with IGC members.
